Straight answers about vibe coding, MCP servers, skills and acyrx.
What is vibe coding?
Vibe coding is building software by describing what you want to an AI coding agent — such as Claude Code, Cursor or OpenAI Codex — and steering it with feedback, instead of writing every line yourself. Andrej Karpathy coined the term in February 2025. Good results still depend on clear specs, the right tools and checking the agent's work.
What is an MCP server?
An MCP server is a small program that gives AI apps access to tools and data through the Model Context Protocol, an open standard Anthropic introduced in November 2024. With MCP servers, a coding agent can query a database, drive a browser, read GitHub issues or search docs. Clients such as Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and Zed support MCP.
What are agent skills?
Agent skills are folders of instructions — usually a SKILL.md file, sometimes with scripts and references — that a coding agent loads when a task calls for them. A skill packages expertise such as test-driven development, UI design or database design so the agent applies it consistently.
How do I choose the right MCP servers and tools for my project?
Start from what you want to build. On acyrx, search or open an idea and press Build This: you get a recommended stack — an agent, MCP servers, skills, tools and a workflow — with install commands for each. Every resource page lists what it does, when to use it and which AI tools it works with.
Which AI coding tools support MCP?
Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code with GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Zed, OpenAI Codex and Gemini CLI all support MCP servers. acyrx shows the compatible clients on every MCP page, and you can filter Discover by the tools you use.
What can I build with AI?
Almost any web or mobile app: SaaS products, internal tools, chatbots and support agents, browser automations, data dashboards and games. acyrx lists scoped project ideas with the difficulty, time estimate, tech stack and exact resources needed to build each one.
Is acyrx free to use?
Yes. Browsing, searching and building stacks is free and needs no account. Creating an account — with Google, GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket — lets you save resources, keep collections and submit your own.
How do I submit my MCP server, skill or prompt?
Sign in and open Submit. The form adapts to what you're sharing — for example, an MCP asks for its transport, tools and example — and shows a preview of the finished page. Submissions are reviewed before they go live.
